Philanthropy

Every year Phi Kappa Theta links up with the national efforts of Movember throughout the entire month of November. This effort encourages men across the country to withhold shaving their mustaches in hopes to raise awareness about testicular and prostate cancer. The past three years, men's basketball head coach, Fran Dunphy, has been a diligent supporter. He has joined the group at can shakes on campus, spoke to the chapter at events, and even has pledged to get the full basketball team involved this upcoming year. This year PKT raised nearly $1,600 and plan to shatter that mark this upcoming year.

This year Phi Kappa Theta linked up with Delta Zeta to host a two day hot chocolate and bake sale at the Bell Tower on campus to raise money for the victums of the recent Sandy Hook shootings. Despite the cold and rainy weather for the majority of the event the two groups combined to collect over $400 for the cause in such a short amount of time.
Community Service

PKT has made it a reoccurring effort to link up with an organization called Philadelphia Urban Creators to establish more self sustaining urban farms across the city. Twice a month the fraternity gathers at a lot on 11th and York to aid the group with various tasks to keep the farm up and running.
