Recruitment FAQ

What is Recruitment?

Recruitment is a great way to learn more about Phi Kappa Theta and an opportunity to meet the members and ask any questions you might have. We have several rush events planned through out the year from sporting events to cook outs to sorority mixers.

How does the process work?

First, keep posted on this website to see our Recruitment schedule. Once you attend the events, if you have shown interest in us and we are interested in you, we will offer you a bid to pledge Phi Kappa Theta. Accepting our invitation does not make you a pledge yet. We have an induction ceremony that you will have to attend to be considered a associate member.

What is an associate member?

An associate member is the temporary status of one that has received a bid from the chapter brotherhood.  Once all of Phi Kappa Theta's history and information has been shared with the associate members through this semester process they will enter the brotherhood for life as a regular status brother of Phi Kappa Theta.

What happens during the associate member period?

During the associate member period you’ll learn about Phi Kappa Theta's history, traditions, and values. Associate Members are encouraged to come out to all our events and participate with us as much as possible to get to know the brothers of the chapter. At the end of the associate member period, you will be initiated and then forever be a brother in the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity.

Why join Phi Kappa Theta?

Phi Kappa Theta is for any man who wants a fun and meaningful college experience. As any brother will tell you, membership in Phi Kappa Theta is a powerful and rewarding experience– offering social, academic, leadership, and service opportunities you can’t get anywhere else.

What else does Phi Kappa Theta offer?

Phi Kappa Theta has an alumni network that spans nationwide.  The networking opportunities are endless, both throughout the Temple brotherhood and Phi Kaps around the country.  We have many brothers contacting us daily to help out undergraduates with internships, scholarships, and other future opportunities.

Who is Phi Kappa Theta looking for?

We are devoted to finding men who will enhance and improve our brotherhood. If you feel that you can be committed to participating in and assisting in our continued improvement of our fraternal activities, chapter meetings, community service projects, and leadership programs, we are looking for you.
